There's a section in this process (a medical intake form) about consenting to AI being used to transcribe things. There's a description of the system and why it's done... and then a line that says if I don't consent, I need to tell someone at my first appointment. No option to state my preference on this form at all.
That's 100% a dark pattern to try to increase usage of a system people might otherwise opt out of, and triply disgusting in a medical context.

This is the same system with an overly complicated input script for their payment details pages that flat out does not work on Firefox (on desktop OR on mobile), and prevents tabbing between boxes in other browsers. This system is pure captive-audience hostility. It was not made for its users.

@timixretroplays@digipres.club recently I had a similar intake form, it indicated the AI transcription consent was optional in the text, but the signature field was marked mandatory. I wrote in, "I do not consent" as a signature.

@timixretroplays@digipres.club @zanchey@aus.social have you heard about this sort of thing? It can't be legal, can it?
