So I dug up a list of old Mac error codes and it turns out that Error -44 means the disk is write protected. I can probably figure that out but I'm not really sure that just copying the file in will work. Aren't there a bunch of hidden filesystem objects on HFS? Will those be properly created? I guess there's only one way to find out. 😅

@ipxfong@mastodon.sdf.org I hope this helps, it's a BlueSCSI compatible 500 MB bootable disk image, with a fresh install of System 7.1 with System Update 3.0. System 7.1.1 was only shipped with some PowerBooks and doesn't have anything extra that's for the LC 475. The "7.1 Pro" version is a bit different with just bundled apps (like PowerTalk). In this disk image I've also included some extra stuff. If you _really_ want 7.1.1 Pro lmk. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DZQnQAkPa3DFrQNGDfTIi0LnHpNSNrfh/view?usp=sharing
