So, I voted today, and since early voting locations are often at libraries, I picked one I hadn't visited before. Voting took me five minutes. (On Election Day, you must vote at your specific polling station for your precinct, but for early voting, it can be at any early voting location in your county of residence.) Got my "I voted" sticker! (Pic) Then, I decided to check out the library. The library I chose had to be the smallest I've ever seen. The fiction "stack" could not be plural, because it was one standard two-sided stack, with a wall of single shelves behind it. Large print fiction books were shelved on a two-sided half-height stack. Nonfiction had two whole (two-sided) stacks of shelves. There was a little section for multimedia, a study room, a few desks, and I didn't see any computers. There was a nominal children's section, new arrivals section, and a small area to pick up holds. Fortunately, patrons in this little town I visited can have any book sent to their home library, as long as it's at one of the other libraries in the county (which is the most populated in all of Georgia).
