On the back of a Sky News (UK) report explaining that US refineries preferred heavy crude, as the majority of Venezuala’s reserves are, I did a bit of a dig. Broadly, this Sky News was correct. This heavy glop is preferred, maybe to be blended with naptha or lighter crudes before processing by US refineries to mostly produce gasoline & diesel/kerosene products. Heavy stuff good for that limited range of products.

@crazyeddie @Lana Anyway, it’s seems that the leaders of US oil behemoths carry the heaviest chips anyone can load on their shoulders. Iran: another nation that kicked them out - centre of the axis of evil; Venezuela - see above; US domestic, progressive & environmental concerns - see author of above.
