US banks are trash, yes.
Their security is generally trash as well, yes.
Their technologies being used, also trash.
But I still don’t think this article is true.

I think it might be true, but not in the sense that agents are so clever that they are hacking into people’s bank accounts; in the sense that some people are so dumb they willingly give agents credentials to access their bank accounts (“it’s going to help me budget/figure out if I’m being overcharged by Netflix” or whatever else the AI-hype convinced them it’s a good idea to let an agent do for you).
