It’s not just a boomer issue, it is also guys who grew up with somebody else doing the cleanup afterward.
Old can give you a non consistent stream, but a considerate old person would then wipe their spills.
But I had 30 year old friends stop by an spray everywhere. So I talked to them about sitting down to pee.
My coworkers wife told her husband “have your friends over any time for drinks, etc, but I’m not cleaning up any piss, so after your friends leave you have to completely clean the bathroom”
He started to realize how gross men can be about pissing everywhere.

I think this is the answer, but peeing on the seat is another level of dysfunctional. Peeing standing up without lifting the seat is not ok even by guys peeing standing up standards. And peeing on the seat while sitting down suggests another problem, and then if you have that problem, not wiping off the seat is even more inconsiderate than leaving a few splashes on the rim of the bowl itself. I have to wonder if some of these boomers have some dementia.
