I told my mother I no longer want to have a relationship with her. I tried telling her I simply needed space and that I would be the one to contact her when I waa ready. But after like four years I ran out of partience, she kept arguing that a parent should always be able to talk to their child, messaged me and once she straight up showed up unannounced. By the time that I was finally starting to feel like she was giving me space she would message me again, and I'd have to remind her again.
