A photographer took some photos and then we marched back. I was near the front of the march just because I walk quickly, and one of the guys at the front with the unions was yelling through a bullhorn, "Back in the park we have bags of Halloween candy! Free candy! But not in a creepy way! It won't be in an unmarked van!"

Well, forget about the windowless white vans of old. It's the ICE vehicles that are full of kid touching creeps these days. Anyway, I figured I did my part and I didn't need even non-creepy candy, so I went to my car at that point. It was a great protest, and I'm grateful to the folks who organized it. This is why I'm on NNU's mailing list: you don't have to worry about them spamming you. They send only worthwhile messages. Last year when Musk was doing his level best to wreck the VA...
