@jaanus@iosdev.space @rmondello@hachyderm.io the main impediment for me, re: switching all-in on first-party tools, are all the sporadic news about people having their iCloud account wrongly flagged as fraudulent and *then* having literally no avenue to resolve this with actual human being.
Just mere possibility that all my 600+ items in 1Password become inaccessible is dreadful. Hence I keep paying for piece of mind.

@aleck@mastodon.social @rmondello@hachyderm.io yeah that is a real concern Ricky keeps saying that things will be available in your device even if you are locked out of iCloud but it is not entirely convincing Sometimes I toy with the idea of trying Proton Pass for exactly this reason. I am already somewhat invested in Proton ecosystem, and their consumer support is more reachable than Apple’s (I mean it at least exists)
