@_elena@mastodon.social @pallenberg@mastodon.social @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu Spot on. Calling a massive GDPR violation "public by design" is peak tech-dystopia.

@_elena@mastodon.social @pallenberg@mastodon.social @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu maybe also a case for the new @bfdi@social.bund.de if it is in his jurisdiction . . if nothing happens .. and there comes no (insightful) statement from officiual channels i would say #GDPR is more #JurisFiction than #JurisDiction https://www.jasperfforde.com/thursdaynext/jurisfiction/contents.html #WIdentitiy #wsocial_notsocial

@_elena@mastodon.social @pallenberg@mastodon.social @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu A good example of how closed-source software is all built around the idea of having to trust the developers on their word (and how that trust can be misplaced).

@pallenberg@mastodon.social @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu @_elena@mastodon.social Thank you for all the research you guys are doing! I'm not against age verification and verified identities on social media per se, but it has to be done in a way that protects the privacy and the rights of its users. Clearly there's still a lot of work to be done here.
