Lived in a council house all my life then moved to an almshouse for the poor and recently to a housing association property. I was warm in my council flat for 25 years. Community central heating heated the water in the hot water tank. No wasting water with a poxy combi-boiler waiting 5 minutes for the water to run luke warm. Community heating is amazing. £17 a week. Almshouse was freezing, the trustees didnt want to spend any money on heating present home is shit. 40C in summer 15C in winter
