people on the internet like to talk about "the trades" like it's some kind of cool and fulfilling and well-paying job you can get As A Man. no no no, you're not thinking of the plumber, you're thinking of the guy who **owns the plumbing company**
not the same thing!! the plumbers wish they went to college, because then their knees and backs would still work

@peter@thepit.social I think if we were to revisit that, the fact the plumbers work while the college grads, by and large, are not working right now, I think that would move that needle somewhat.
