Just catching up on #TOTP from Friday night. Wham! are on, doing Freedom. I always call those songs Fish-Slappers because the rhythm songs like some one slapping a fish on a table repeatedly, but I can’t deny there are are a lot of great tracks that employ it, e.g. Mirrornan by Human League. Is there a proper name for that rhythm signature?
