@danbrotherston@types.pl @c_9@mstdn.ca Not convinced a lane through a city is the many cause of gridlock. Many studies have shown that bike lanes aren't a significant impediment to traffic. A key chokepoint to traffic flow is traffic lights/intersections. An intersection can only put through 30-40 seconds of cars at a time in each direction. Whether it is 2 lanes or 1.
