The Treasure Laws Amendment (Genetic Testing Protections in Life Insurance and Other Measures) Act 2026 in Australia prevents genetic testing from underwriting life insurance contracts. If you know that there is a family history of a disease and you have taken the test you can disclose not having it, but you do not need to provide it for insurance purposes.
