Unpopular opinion, but I think PHP is better than JavaScript. The recent demonstration of that is @movim , I can run this web app from #GNU Icecat. Something 99% of the web apps would simply be untenable for, because they have non-free JavaScript.

@divyaranjan@mathstodon.xyz Wait so it does everything serverside, or is it just that the client-side JS is labelled free? I don't think I've seen a true server-side PHP app without JS in a while, so that's why I'm curious.
