Is the #fediverse just a hobby to waste time and other resources? After observing a few tools on the fediverse, it looks like, the project failed. Once it was a good idea to fight big-tech, but I think they won. Instead of being on a real social media platform and connecting with real humans, more and more people want to invest their life time to pet a glass plate (doomscrolling). And instead of having deep talks with real humans, they have irrelevant nonsense discussions with ai bots, which never argue against you. Nowadays it's even harder to find like-minded people here, because it looks like they left and went back to big-tech. And the cost of it is not only the time and money of the people who try to maintain and keep those instances alive, it's a democratic world and our freedom, which we lose. #federation #democracy #freedom
