Apparently tomorrow is the third anniversary of my joining mastodon.ie - happy fediversary to me.
I had created a mastodon.social account some years before, but never really used it. So this was the point at which I started to be active.
I've also had accounts on various other instances, and currently use @ratcatcher@beige.party as my main account - partly because of the robes, but also due to the much higher limit on posts.
But mastodon.ie will always have a place in my heart.

@ratcatcher@mastodon.ie So, when I posted this, two accounts requested to follow my mastodon.ie account. Neither had a profile pic, bios were sparse, a few followers and rather more follows. One was a few months old, the other a couple of years old. But the odd thing is that neither had actually posted anything - they had just boosted others' posts. What's the purpose of accounts like this? I'm struggling to understand the modus operandi and the thinking behind it.
