I've been reading "Resisting AI: an anti-fascist approach to artificial intelligence" by @danmcquillan , and I would recommend it vigorously to anyone with the slightest interest in tech ethics. (I'd also recommend it to those who think ethics has no place in tech, but experience suggests they wouldn't listen.)

@linguacelta@toot.wales @danmcquillan@kolektiva.social Thanks - I've read the preview on Kobo and am going to buy it. A taster from the intro: "So, the starting point for an anti-fascist approach to AI is an alertness to its operation as a technology of division, to its promotion as a solution for social crisis, and to its use to prop up power and privilege."

@linguacelta@toot.wales @danmcquillan@kolektiva.social @jitterted@sfba.social I am currently about 2/3 the way through it and would agree. I would also recommend it.
