@cararemixed@mastodon.social I agree. I'm a scab at work. I live in capitalism and my first allegiance is to my family. I'm not going to risk the income I bring to them to stand on these principles, I literally cannot afford to. I work at a startup that helps community benefit organizations, not something like Meta or other literal enablers of genocide. If I'm a filthy, impure scab because I don't loudly try to shout at the shifting tide of AI at work, then fuck me.

@jump_spider@floofy.tech you sound salty. this could be an invitation for solidarity but if you do think your choice to use ai is the only way you can work and do a job then i can't help you. none of this is necessary so sorry if i don't buy this line like its the single tool keeping your family fed (contrary, its what is erasing your leverage for better working conditions and compensation).

But pushing back against these systems isn't just an individual action. We push back together. Town halls, elections, protests, even in small ways like words of support. Your actions aren't confined to the workplace. Frustrated you're in this position? Then help us fight. Do what you can with what you have. It's the way out.
