@cstross@wandering.shop To think that NASA is only 3 days away from being exactly where they were 17th October 1968. I'm just old enough to remember the Apollo 8 launch which was still a couple of months away at that time. Had my Airfix Saturn V model ready for dismantling as the launch progressed.
