@hn100@social.lansky.name the article seems to take one quote as basis for the title: "For my team, the cost of compute is far beyond the costs of the employees" That doesn't say that it's better or worse, just that one number is bigger than the other. Is that because the fired so many people? Is the compute replacing people of the same, less or more value? Not mentioned. That makes it for me too early to cheer for the death of widespread ai.
