In 1994 Star Trek Generations, Patrick Stewart's Captain Picard laments, "Recently, I've become aware that there are fewer days ahead than there are behind."
I was 12 as I watched that. And that line has stuck in my mind ever since. That a day will come when more days will be behind me than ahead. I'm 44 now. Statistically, I've lived more days than have ahead of me. God only knows.
All to stay, my deepest love and condolences to the Stewart family & all who knew him. RIP to an amazing human.

@QasimRashid@mastodon.social To be fair I never expected to get this many days. I nearly died a few times. Died for a few minutes once. Just enjoy the ride. In 100 years nobody will know you existed. Just leave the place a little better than you found it and try not to hurt anyone.

@QasimRashid@mastodon.social When you look back at this when you're 102 you'll feel pretty silly, I'll bet.
