@Ruth_Mottram@fediscience.org Regarding climate, there’s good and bad in process: Bad: * Revision (i.e. loosening) of car CO2 emissions standard Good: * Grid package Good and bad: * Revision of ETS: Slower phase-out of free quotas and reaching zero ~5 years later (bad), support to get CDR started (good), extending aviation coverage a bit (good, but also bad, because even more was promised in current legislation)

@Ruth_Mottram@fediscience.org are you? If you were in van der Leyen’s seat, and knowing that resources are limited, would you indeed really prefer security, defense, and Ukraine over “climate, green transition and biodiversity” all the way, ignoring the whataboutists on those topics?
