@TarkabarkaHolgy@ohai.social My kids are mercifully too old for Paw Patrol now, but that wasn't always the case, and I was subjected to so much Paw Patrol that I developed a crush on Mayor Goodway. I have a few headcanons, please forgive me for dumping them here. First, where is Adventure Bay? The climate looks Californian, but they can drive to both a cold region with penguins, and a jungle with indigenous stone ruins. There's only 5 regions in the world with a hot summer climate like California. But California and the Mediterranean don't have penguins, and southern Africa and Australia don't have central American ruins. I believe Adventure Bay is in Chile. Question two, where are Ryder's parents? I've never seen them, or guardians of any kind. I believe Ryder is an emancipated minor. I also believe he is a sociopath, that the people of Adventure Bay are like pets to him, which is why the entire emergency response team are his "techbro solution" team of dogs with cool cars.

@TarkabarkaHolgy@ohai.social Mayor Goodway used Adventure Bay city funds to erect a golden statue of her pet chicken in the town square, so I suppose it shouldn’t be surprising that they outsourced emergency services to a kid and some dogs.

@TarkabarkaHolgy@ohai.social Funding wise, this is covered in one of the other films, where Ryder says it's from Paw Patrol merchandise. Which makes more sense than a lot of other things.
