@dilmandila@mograph.social every mail starting “Dear professor” can go straight to the bin, as I never got that title/role and likely never will. I am amazed how long the emails with praise can be without really mentioning *any* particular item they like. All bland nonsense not addressed to anyone in particular. We like “your paper”. Apparently actually reading my recent papers would consume too many AI tokens.

@rwwh@mastodon.social @dilmandila@mograph.social I wonder if they really don't want to be more convincing to experienced academics, because that's just a waste of time. They want marks that are easily flattered and thus much more easily convinced?
