@GamesMissed@mastodon.social Yes indeed! The giant puffball (that is literally its name 🤣) is absolutely delicious to eat and probably THE safest species to eat! No other mushroom is like this!! I would get some even bigger than this one, and I suspect this one could have grown more had it not been hindered by the ivy 😹 Maybe next year!🤞

@GamesMissed@mastodon.social One time when I was a kid three giant puffballs appeared in my neighbour's lawn, basically overnight. They were just left to do their thing and I've never seen a giant puffball ever since. Since then and now I've learned that they are edible, and I have been yearning to try them.
