"Social media algorithms amplify right-wing content against young users’ preference" https://www.bi.team/press-releases/social-media-algorithms-amplify-right-wing-content-against-young-users-preference-study-finds/ I finally re-found this study I read a few months ago, that deserves a lot more attention. It is, in fact, the main reason we should be moving away from big-tech social media: it shows more right-wing content than left-wing content, no matter the political leaning of the user. Propaganda works. See more of something and you start believing it. And they know it. #mastodon #Fediverse #Forkiverse #SocialMedia #algorithm #algorithms #politics #propaganda #BigTech #DigitalRights #propaganda #MediaLiteracy #EchoChambers #DeleteMeta #QuitX #LeaveX #Meta #X #Twitter #Facebook #study
