Local basic #ebook managers don't quite meet my needs. (not viewers, not downloaders, just trying to keep a wobbly tower of epubs in order.) I think I'll write my own. I can send books to my Kobo just by mounting it and copying files to its root, and epubs are just zipped xml etc collections. Nothing very hard to work with. I'm thinking an interactive terminal program with an interface not dissimilar to the nano editor except with a file tree and a cover details pane. It'll be fun.
