Hellooo anyone who is new to Mastodon~! There's no algorithm here, so it's all word of mouth (old Internet vibes). So, if you're looking for some cool people to follow, you're welcome to look at who I follow. I also like looking at profiles from boosted posts as they also often can be quite informative or funny and worth a follow. I hope you enjoy the culture here :) I find it full of very inspiring and interesting posts

@bashbunni@mastodon.social yes, welcome to all new here, fedi culture is hostile to influencer/ "content creator" culture as we are people, not brands... We make music, art, writing, NOT "content". Get over that capitalist phrasing and you'll be happier here. Follow hashtags, (especially the cat themed ones) and make friends, this isn't the corporate antisocial media, no parasocial bs here. I'd recommend following @FediTips@social.growyourown.services for suggestions.

@bashbunni@mastodon.social getting only posts from people you follow and being able to catch up is so cool. Insane that we have to celebrate such normal things we lost in other platforms.

@bashbunni@mastodon.social There's a typo: "There's so algorithm..." Also those are some good tips for newcomers :)
