i am honestly not sure how many of the men interacting with this understand that this is about people not being able to talk about their own experiences with being raped. y'all sure are framing your comments in a way that thinks i particularly care about the rapist at all

@nora@blob.love From a legal standpoint I would suggest it's best to be "sure", and prepared to defend the "claim" in court. Since a challenge would be civil it would be on the balance of probabilities, i.e. you don't necessarily have to be 100% sure but the closer-the better. So if we're talking about Trump, for example, I think the label "rapist" could be defended successfully (depending on the makeup of the jury)...

@nora@blob.love Yeah. You can't *put someone in prison* until they've been convicted. That's a basic safety limitation on the abuse of state power. But you can absolutely mistrust and shun someone accused of rape, and you can say you believe the accusation and make others aware of it. That's basic personal and community safety, and simply not up for debate.

@nora@blob.love Ok, so I've read the comments so far and wow! The level of insensitivity from some is appalling, ☹️. As a victim of sexual assault and physical assault as well, I am so at odds with the amount of acceptance from the genpop for Platner. These armchair commandos have no empathy or sense for the victims and that is more the issue here. From Nazi tattoos to accusations of SA, this should've been a quick removal, not some media tirade. This is why I, and many other SA victims get no justice! Yet the white male perpetrators continue to walk the streets, absolved of their crimes, 🤷♀️
