@DJDarren@mendeddrum.org All right, we got there in the end. Dispatch - Circles Around The Sun (because it sounds like a fun, lighthearted song telling a silly fantastical story... and it's actually about state exploitation of the vulnerable) Levellers - Fight or Flight (because the lyrics are about someone who has been beaten down by life and the state and yet stands up and fights for what is right anyway, and it always reminds me of Sam Vimes) Old Gods of Asgard - Children of the Elder God (simply because there's something about a rather silly imaginary metal band created for a series of videogames whose songs and band members play very plot-relevant roles that feels Pratchettian to me. I feel he would have enjoyed the Old Gods.) Funeral for a Friend - Into Oblivion (Reunion) - (because the lyrics remind me of Sam Vimes' struggle to get back to Sybil and his unborn son in Night Watch. and for bonus points, Sir Terry really enjoyed The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, to the point he helped write a mod.) #ThePlaylistSuggestion
