When someone posts something and someone replies with a Snopes post denying it, some original posters will be, How dare you disbelieve my lived experience. But when someone you've never met who may or may not be the person in their profile picture, and may or may not live where they say they live and be who they say they are, makes a claim it would be insane to unquestioningly believe them. Snopes isn't perfect, but if you rage against Snopes I suspect you of being an asshole or a troll.
