I have no doubt things will still be dismal if/when Democrats are in charge. This is a good-cop bad-cop play to keep #bipartisanGrift going.

@rameshgupta@mastodon.social "Good cop / bad cop" -- I've often called it that, yeah. I agree that if the Dems were the only party, they would soon become as corrupt as the GOP, or worse. I would counter, however, that if we made the GOP irrelevant, that would remove the spoiler-effect -- leaving space for a less-corrupt 3rd party to emerge. And on your last point: If a person of good intention makes decisions which most informed people understand to be bad ones, what are they if not misled? If you're arguing that they're not actually well-intentioned, then you need to say that. @ashwin@defcon.social @claralistensprechen3rd @SeanCasten@mastodon.social
