THE ROLLING STONES
Let It Bleed
1969 Canada pressing
[early red labels]
With certain bands, I’m more than ok with never hearing them in my life ever again.
I have been clobbered over the head with bands like The Stones, Beatles, The Who, and Led Zeppelin over and over again, and I just don’t care to hear those band’s records any more.
There are a few exceptions to this sentiment, and Let It Bleed is certainly one of them.
It is hands down my favorite Stones record, and I will ALWAYS be down to listen to it.
It is the only record of theirs that I just never got burnt out on, and I will continue to listen to it until I’m dead.
One of the greatest album openers of all time, and you can say the same about the CLOSING track as well.
Combined with “You Got The Silver” (maybe my favorite Stones song ever) and “Midnight Rambler”, it’s my forever Stones album.

@TheVinylApe@cupoftea.social Great record, for sure. I think my "forever" Stones album is 𝘉𝘦𝘨𝘨𝘢𝘳𝘴 𝘉𝘢𝘯𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘵 (mostly because I never tire of "Sympathy for the the Devil"), but I'm also maybe not as burnt out on them as you. I get you about having been saturated with certain bands though.

@TheVinylApe@cupoftea.social "Gimme shelter" and "You can't always get what you want" are sufficient to love this record.
