Double Up
High above the pointed mountain, two arcs of aurora are forming.
Looking north, the almost full moon low in the east-south-east behind us is lighting the snowy mountain flanks beautifully.
Mid-November, 7pm. Búlandstindur mountain in Berufjörður, eastern Iceland.
Canon PowerShot G3 X, f/2.8, ISO-800, 10 seconds. I prefer longer exposures as more stars are visible.
