I hate how complicated it is to set which drive an embedded system "boots from". There's the drive the firmware loads u-boot from, there's the drive u-boot loads the kernel and devicetree from, and there's the drive the kernel mounts as the rootfs. These do not all necessarily align, and the default is usually that if you have an SD card *and* eMMC, installed, Linux gets loaded from the SD card and then mounts its rootfs from eMMC! #linux #embedded #openembedded #yocto #uboot #embeddedlinux
