I'm so sorry to read this.
Armistead Maupin has written about the "logical" family (as opposed to the "biological" family.)
Sometimes it's the family of choice (the logical family) that ends up meaning more to us than the family of birth.
Maupin was referring to what so many LGBTQ+ people go through, but it can impact anyone. Big hugs to you.

@donaldham@mstdn.social That's also what we always say ❤️ I was always different then anyone in my family and that was okay but the total amount of shit on top was it.. People on the Fedi are my real family since we connect and share common things, i don't with anyone in my family (mom is a sweetheart though)
