@ObsceneAnthroposene@ieji.de @benjohn@todon.nl @Edent@mastodon.social Octopus Agile has had negative prices since about midnight last night and ongoing until 16:00 this afternoon by varying amounts.
Was also negative pricing for similar times yesterday apart from an hour from about 08:00. I managed to make use of about 55 kWh - mostly heating the house which is helpful to dry it out and running the washing machine.
I left the heater in my study on overnight with the door open to heat the upstairs and a dehumidifier running in the kitchen to dry yesterday's laundry. Just turned on heaters in the bedroom and downstairs hall. Will have a nice long electric shower shortly.
But the downside is that prices for the last week or so have been very high.
If you have batteries or if you are retired and at home most of the time to manage your consumption or something like that Agile is a net win, though.

@edavies@functional.cafe @ObsceneAnthroposene@ieji.de @benjohn@todon.nl @Edent@mastodon.social our house is still holding onto the summer heat, and most rooms are still around 23°C-25°C, so our underfloor heating sensors are still at the point they will turn the underfloor heating off quickly to protect the wood floors…so we’re just charging the car, cooking, multiple loads of washing and tumble drying today. We’ll be lucky if we hit 25kWh today by 4pm…but still, we’ll get paid a few pence for that!
