Yesterday I was in a beergarden for a couple of hours in the early evening. Two food trucks were parked side by side.
The Greek food truck had a printed menu displayed on the side of the truck.
The Thai street food truck had a big banner with a QR code on it.
I sat facing the trucks, and I only saw people order from the Greek food truck.
I believe this is because THE GREEK MENU AND PRICES WERE RIGHT THERE. You won't convince me otherwise.

@shansterable Eyup. Fuck getting out my phone for a menu.

@shansterable Especially if I'm hungry (and maybe also having consumed beer) I'd rather not have to try and audit a QR code to check it doesn't go to some sketchy place when I just want to get food..

@shansterable Especially because you can't be sure you are getting the same price as other people.

@shansterable I hate it when a business tries to force me to download anything. And, if I cave, I delete it as soon as we are done.

@shansterable absolutely agree. My partner & I, and also our closest friends, avoid QR code type cafés if we can. Hate those things.
