Just leaked: New draft of the deportations regulation now live (link below!)
We've obtained and published one of the latest working documents of the deportation regulation (a.k.a. "returns regulation”), by the EU Parliament, the EU Council, and the EU Commission.
From what we can tell so far, no improvements have been made, despite relentless campaigning by civil society.

Instead, it looks like the Parliament, Council, and Commission still want to: • enable the deportation of children—with even less protections; • give national police forces extensive grounds for violence, "search and seizure" and the ability to use ‘coercive methods’; • put in place wide grounds for imprisonment of individuals during the deporation process; and • enable states to weaken safeguards even further in 'emergency' situations Find the full text on our website: https://buff.ly/DFxBNTq
