@bobjmsn@mastodon.scot I did. It's been obvious for over a year, as posties who would at least spend a minute to chat in their busy schedule stopped doing so. Capitalism and wage slavery and all that.

@JanPV@mastodon.social When we lived up in the Northumberland hills we were nearly snowed in one winter - our people-carrier (we had 4 children) couldn't get up to our house, but luckily we also had a 4x4. One day when I made it down to the local shop our postman was there with 2 or 3 basketfulls of bread etc. Seeing my questioning look, he said "I'm just getting in some supplies for the old ladies on the round". @bobjmsn@mastodon.scot
