@pojntfx@mastodon.social With regards to AI, I am only on here because I want exposure to old school technologists and principled AI refusers. Similarly I sometimes peek at X to find out what AI researchers and fascists are doing, and BlueSky to eavesdrop on US Dem mediocrities & a few sharp left-wing podcasters.
That said I was just in a coffee shop yesterday overhearing a normie conversation about how AI will kill us all. High adoption AND bitter resistance is happening, sometimes from the same people.

@pojntfx@mastodon.social We are all in our own bubbles though. You and your colleagues do wonders with AI. I am a (formerly?) smart person who is slowly falling down the scale from cool tech to ordinary companies and cosplay startups. The mainstream is exactly like this now.
