  • @courtney Hi Courtney! ๐Ÿ‘‹ @hspease here :) I run the marketing and volunteer coordination for TXLF. We agree, itโ€™s disappointing to see such gender disparity in our lineup, and we recognize this as an area where we need to do better. As a 100% volunteer-run event we work with very limit resources and time to market our CFP often missing out on engaging the women in our community who love Linux. In 2026, we hope to improve this, with more outreach to women to submit talks to our CFP.

  • @kev Spinning your own small fediverse backend makes perfect sense, specially given your follower count! I would love to see the progress and steps to get there.

  • The 3-day AI workshop is done; I'm tired of thinking about AI processes, best practices, and how to move existing projects' development processes to be agentic. I need a break.

  • Updated my #Mastodon instance to 4.7.3 ๐Ÿ”— https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/releases/tag/v4.7.3 #MastoAdmin

  • #Gitea changed the release naming, now we're at 28.0.0 Just upgraded my instance ๐Ÿ”— https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/releases/tag/v28.0.0

  • I have updated the post with my bash script to clean up #Gitea actions. Now they have introduced a built-in way to clean this, making this bash obsolte: ๐Ÿ”— https://ricard.dev/how-to-delete-old-gitea-workflow-runs/ #Automation #Gitea #Docker

  • Migrated yet another #WordPress site to #Hugo in just a few hours, no features lost, same design, now statically generated from clean Markdown. Opus 5.5 did most of the heavy lifting. Good stuff. Without it, I would have needed days.

  • @ronaldsvilcins personal blog, none. As you demonstrated with semantic markup you get a lot nowadays โค๏ธ

  • @StumpyTheMutt @404mediaco I like where you are going with this ๐Ÿ˜Ž very plausible they did it on purpose just to blame it on the AI later. Or simply rushing a product to market without proper QA.

  • @StumpyTheMutt Ok I didn't know this one, it's good: > Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity

  • Another day another #WordPress security update. Boy am I happy to migrate away from it. https://wordpress.org/news/2026/10/wordpress-7-1-3-maintenance-and-security-release/
