  • Shared a Barry pic with this guy at the rail with me. He instantly pulled out his phone and showed me his cat. Raves are great.

  • @ivory Is there a way to block an entire instance/server so no accounts from it show up?

  • It’s been a bit, but Bio is here now and I learned you can filter people in a list from your home timeline in Ivory. That helped clean up some of the spammier bird.makeup accounts I follow into their own timeline.

  • It’s Taskmaster series finale time! https://youtu.be/jKBmIaxhuQc?si=q4oLWTcAiNoFzzoU

  • Curious, as I've been testing the upcoming Mastodon design in our dev environment for the past 2 days. The new design isn't widely available yet, but mastodon.social likes to test with real users and installs alpha versions early. So, a quick poll for Mastodon.social users and anyone on other instances with the new v5 design enabled (feel free to share this to reach more people): #Mastodon #Mastodon5 #MastodonAlpha #MastodonNightly #NewMastodon #MastodonSocial #Design #UI #UX

  • @cpu u taking the piss mate?

  • I released Graviola 0.4.0 yesterday, with a new and quite quick ML-KEM-768 implementation. More perf work to do on this, but it is already quicker than libcrux-ml-kem, and competitive with mlkem-native on ARM64. And still builds mega fast! Consider supporting this work on https://github.com/sponsors/ctz See https://crates.io/crates/graviola or updated benchmark results on https://jbp.io/graviola/

  • Oftentimes the smartest infrastructure is the simplest one. Today at #DH2026, our lab member Steffi presents a poster on minimal computing in public DH and science communication, with @vji (FU Berlin). Their plea: make it static to make it last – but first ask what's worth keeping. (1/2)

  • Just like that, the #DH2026 week is over! Whether online or on-site in South Korea, it was truly wonderful to see the DH community come together around so many different projects, ideas, and people. We're grateful for all the interest and thoughtful feedback on our contributions. 🙏 A heartfelt thank you to the organizers for pulling off this huge international endeavour with such care. Now it's time to fight our way back into the old sleep rhythm – travel safe, everyone, &am...

  • An exciting new semester lies ahead of us! This time, the fortext lab's teaching ranges from close reading crime fiction to discussing the operationalization of narratological concepts. Here's a brief overview:

  • @forTEXT@fedihum.org I have to agree, please be so kind as to publish, what you have found so far. However, I would like to add Theresia Enzensberger, "Auf See".

  • @forTEXT@fedihum.org Brian Aldiss’ ”Hothouse”, published in German as ”Am Vorabend der Ewigkeit” and ”Der lange Nachmittag der Erde”.
